The Celltron Circulation Chair seamlessly combines the functionality of a medical device with the relaxation of a lounge chair. Designed to naturally blend into living spaces, it sheds the traditional cold image of medical equipment. It supports blood circulation and pain relief for seniors during rest and sleep, featuring an intuitive system that activates simply by sitting down. This product was planned to seamlessly integrate into long-term health management by minimising user inconvenience.
The Celltron Circulation Chair by Ceragem, won a 2025 Good Design Award from The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design, and Urban Studies.

The chair boasts an organically connected form with a rounded backrest, armrests, and winged headrest, offering a cozy and enveloping feel. Eschewing the mechanical aesthetics of medical devices, its simple yet voluminous silhouette naturally complements various spaces like living rooms, studies, and bedrooms. The controls are integrated into the armrest, maintaining aesthetic unity. The chair emphasises a tone-on-tone colour scheme and rich volume, allowing it to serve as a design object.

Notably, the precise alignment of the backrest and armrests creates a unified, organic mass, and generous padding in all user-contact areas ensures optimal comfort. The winged headrest enhances the resting experience by forming a private, cozy space for relaxation and sleep. Its easy-to-use design, requiring only a simple sit-down for activation, makes it highly accessible for seniors. The reclining function, with 140° upper body and 180° lower body linkage, offers optimal resting postures, accommodating sleep and light activities.
Intuitive operation is provided by armrest quick buttons and a retractable remote control, while a TFT LCD interactive display allows for easy selection of customised massage functions and real-time feedback. Safety is ensured with an anti-finger-pinch structure in the reclining areas.

Production efficiency is enhanced through a modular frame and integrated design of the electrical and sonic modules, improving assembly and maintenance. The reclining drive and cover manufacturing processes are optimised for both productivity and quality. Cost increases are minimised by simplifying internal structures and using molded components for streamlined assembly, boosting mass production capability.
Standardised cover materials and diverse colour options ensure production efficiency and responsiveness to custom orders, maintaining price competitiveness. Furthermore, the use of eco-friendly leather and fabric, water-based adhesives, and a modular design that facilitates material separation and recycling at disposal reflects a commitment to sustainable design throughout the product lifecycle.

To ensure the product serves as an object within living spaces, a tone-on-tone colour scheme was applied, emphasising a minimalist and sophisticated feel. The interior is finished with soft, luxurious Napa-feel leather, while the exterior features warm fabric, enhancing visual and tactile appeal. The fabric grain and surface texture are meticulously adjusted to provide a smooth and stable feel every time a user touches or sits on the chair.
Metallic accents, harmonising with the leather colours, add depth and refinement. Considering sustainability, the chair also incorporates stain-resistant and water-repellent functions for enhanced hygiene and durability.
