Aven is thoughtfully made, from its design to its engineering. Aven—in mid-back or high-back—features expert craftsmanship, including channel stitching.

The plush seat and curved back deliver natural designed-in lumbar support. And the adjustable arms or fixed arms and multiple control options create not just comfort, but energising ergonomics.
Aven is highly customisable thanks to multiple base and finish options as well as thousands of woven, vinyl and polyurethane textile options.
Aven’s design follows the circular principles in sustainable design.
These principles comprise of five circular design criteria, with emphasis on three particular focus areas – climate, resources, and health.
In designing Aven, we followed these principles closely-the result is our most sustainable lounge series.

We chose the right materials and only included responsibly sourced materials. We built Aven using as few components as possible.
With fewer components comes less part production and quicker manufacturing, which means less energy consumption.
Aven is designed for disassembly with instructions that help make repairs easy. Parts can be replaced, adjusted, or removed as we do not use any glues.
The chair is low weight and contains only the materials necessary to do the job. All these measures combined to reduce the carbon footprint of the chair.
More than 60% of the materials used in Aven are sourced from post-consumer waste streams or renewable materials.

The steel is from 100% recycled materials, and the plastic is from 60% recycled materials.
All components are held together with accessible fittings, making it easy to dismantle, repair and sort for recycling at the end of its life.
Aven ticks the box for green seating, with BIFMA LEVEL 2 and GREENGUARD Gold certifications.
9to5 Seating practices vertical integration in that we manufacture most of the chair components.
This manufacturing process allows us to control quality, costs and sustainability.
By regarding waste as valuable resources, we help battle the ever-growing waste problem by creating a market for collecting and processing waste.

This lowers our total carbon footprint through avoiding direct emissions from processing material and reducing energy consumption.
We minimise virgin materials and avoid materials that are hazardous to health and the environment, in products, production and at our suppliers.
9to5 Seating ensures quality through strict standards and inspection of components as well as finished goods.
Quality requirements include functional and aesthetic checkpoint, and any defects are corrected before the product is inspected again.
Aven’s 300-lb weight rating is unique in the market as is the 9to5 Seating lifetime guarantee on many of the product’s moving parts, and competitive guarantees on the entire product.
