The AIR-ALP0170 ceiling lamp transforms a historic aviation component into a dramatic piece of lighting design. Measuring 351 cm in length, this sculptural fixture repurposes an original 1973 Alpha Jet fuel tank, meticulously mirror-polished to highlight its aerodynamic form. What once served high-speed military aviation now becomes a suspended light sculpture that blends engineering heritage with contemporary interior design.
Designed for lofts, galleries, and high-ceiling residential spaces, the piece comfortably illuminates large dining tables up to three metres long. Its elongated profile and reflective surface create a strong architectural presence, turning the fixture into both a functional lighting system and a statement installation.

Technically, the lamp integrates six adjustable LED spotlights that allow focused illumination exactly where needed—ideal for dining or work surfaces. Complementing these are two 250 cm LED light strips (3000K) that provide a warm ambient glow along the length of the tank. The entire system is fully dimmable via remote control, allowing users to shift from atmospheric lighting to brighter task illumination with ease.
With dimensions of 351 cm length × 62 cm width, a 42 cm tank diameter, and a weight of 37 kg, the lamp retains the robust character of its aeronautical origins while functioning as a refined luxury lighting object.

Lighting as Industrial Art
Arteinmotion’s aeronautical lighting pieces belong to a broader Aeronautica Collection, where historical aircraft components are reimagined as design objects. By preserving the original forms of these industrial elements, the pieces maintain a direct visual connection to aviation engineering while acquiring a new life within contemporary interiors.
The polished metal surface reflects surrounding architecture and light, creating constantly shifting visual effects. This interplay between material authenticity, craftsmanship, and illumination transforms the lamp into a hybrid between design object, sculpture, and functional lighting.
