Athens, Greece
Located on the eastern part of Athens, the Ellinikon Commercial Hub, designed by Aedas in collaboration with A&M Architects for LAMDA Development, is a new state-of-the-art commercial, leisure, and business destination that introduces a new lifestyle philosophy in shopping, entertainment, and work.
Right next to it, an iconic mixed-use tower will be developed that will house a hotel, offices, and apartments.

The project takes full advantage of its adjacency to infrastructure where subways and roads intersect to provide ease of transport to this new urban hub.
For its pioneering design, the Ellinikon Commercial Hub has been awarded a 2024 International Architecture Award by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
There are excellent multi-level pedestrian connections to the surrounding mixed commercial and residential buildings, which have an immediate high-density population within walking distance.
Site Parcelisation was applied to optimize the commercial balance of all components and create maximum Retail and F&B opportunities for the Mall Complex, the best branding identity location for the Office/Hotel Tower, easy access, and the highest visibility from city roads for visitors arriving by cars to the Retail Park.

The seamless circulation design of the mall complex and mixed-use tower maximizes the synergies between different but complementary uses, offerings, and experiences so that the transition between indoor mall and outdoor streetscape becomes a commercial opportunity to provide alfresco dining and external play areas – all responding to the local climate, modern Athenian family and international tourist needs.
The application of the sweeping garden stepped terraces located between the Tower and Mall Complex maximizes the interaction and connectivity of the users of these buildings and nearby visitors or residents, drawing this pedestrian flow to the more intimate roof garden.
This interstitial space between the tower and the mall utilizes the hospitality and shopping mall into a single big public event.
