Corno di Rosazzo (UD), Italy
Adriano and Veronica Balutto of Balutto Associati design an elegant piece of furniture for Livoni Edoardo & Figlio Furniture Company, which is both versatile and has elements that could state it as an iconic chair combining design with an essential character with the iconic rattan weaving of the backrest.

The designers have created a whole family of Dorotea furniture that consists of a chair, armchair, and stool made of ash wood with a straw-covered back inside a wooden frame and a seat covered with a double layer of leather.
The Dorotea chair project has been been awarded a 2020 Good Design Award by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.

The thickness of the leather, coming from the best Tuscan tanneries, is coupled to the canvas underneath to guarantee an excellent holding to the seat. Perfect for both domestic and contract use.
The chair is made of European ash wood frame FSC certified with Indonesian rattan back and the seat is upholstered with naturally tanned leather from an Italian tannery.
