"These towers, our first in Brooklyn, have reached an important milestone made possible by the perseverance of Brookfield, Park Tower Group, BBB (Beyer Blinder Belle), and the entire construction and design team during an unprecedented time," Jason Long, OMA Partner-in-Charge, said.
Designed by Eran Chen and the design team at ODA and developed by Adam America Real Estate and Northlink Capital, the new tower is located at the corner of West 91st Street and Broadway and will yield 57 units in one- to five-bedroom layouts ranging from 887 square feet to 3,524 square feet.
“The idea was to create a building with a structuring geometry and a timeless character that provides an elegant continuity of the neighbourhood and the city,” states Pierre Mierski, Senior Partner and Architect, LEMAYMICHAUD.
“Our team is motivated to design everything from the origin – 0 – exploring contemporary design in a digital realm, based on oriental aesthetics. There is nothing, and therefore there is space for growth; a fertile ground zero,” says 00Group, explaining their unique name.
Led by Robert C. Whitlock and American Prize for Architecture laureate firm Kohn Pederson Fox, together with local associate architects A61 for Tuan Sing Holdings, the design for 18 Robinson synthesizes the unique conditions that define the urban, environmental and cultural context of contemporary Singapore, resulting in a signature, boutique, and sustainable retail and office tower.
Anchoring the southeast corner of the Taopu Smart City, Hero Tiandi, a collaboration between Ennead Architects and landscape architects Design Land Collaborative, is a mixed-use campus comprised of fifteen existing structures from the HERO Fountain Pen factory and several new additions.
