Designed by XYY and developed by Medical International Research (MIR), the Spirobank II Plus is a versatile spirometer designed for comprehensive respiratory function assessment.
Building upon the features of the Spirobank II Basic, the Plus model offers enhanced capabilities, including the option to measure oximetry, providing a more complete picture of a patient’s pulmonary health.
The project has won the prestigious 2024 Good Design Award by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
The Spirobank II Plus operates both as a standalone device and when connected to a PC via USB or Bluetooth.
This flexibility allows for real-time data transfer and analysis, facilitating seamless integration into various clinical workflows.
In addition to standard spirometry tests, the device offers oximetry recording, enabling healthcare providers to monitor oxygen saturation levels alongside respiratory function.
Equipped with a high-resolution backlit display, the device provides immediate on-screen results and curve previews.
Its icon-based navigation menu ensures intuitive operation, reducing the learning curve for new users.
With an internal memory capable of storing up to 10,000 tests, the Spirobank II Plus ensures extensive data retention.
This feature is particularly beneficial for longitudinal patient monitoring and large-scale clinical studies.
The device is compatible with MIR’s proprietary software, which offers advanced features for spirometry and oximetry analysis.
The software supports integration with Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR), streamlining data management and enhancing clinical decision-making.
