With a mission to plant the seeds of sustainability, Sino Group’s integrated green community project, ‘Farm Together’ that brings people closer to nature by promoting urban farms around Hong Kong.
For its ecological design, the project won a recent 2021 Green Good Design® Award from The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies and The Chicago Athenaeum.
The team encourages sustainable living and wellness while celebrating local biodiversity in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Sino Group, a Hong Kong property developer, collaborates with green communities and urban farming organizations to set up urban farming at Sino Group’s properties. From a farm at the residential premises, hotels outdoor areas to the rooftop of office buildings, Sino Group fosters a shared love of green living to the residents, hotel guests, tenants, and the general public.
Brand and Design team, an in-house design department of the company, supports the Group by introducing a cohesive and refreshing identity design under an umbrella name ‘Farm Together’ and creating sub names such as ‘Gold Coast Eco Farm’, ‘Sky Farm,’ etc. of all the farms at different locations which resonate with the property names.
Like the mission of this project, the team wants to bring a breath of fresh air in a corporate world by introducing a playful, lively, and colorful identity to this project

The logotype is designed to create an organic, solid, and cheerful look, with a horizontal line as the base to symbolize earth’s horizon.
The team uses a slightly deeper tone of green called ‘Forest Green’ as the color to fetch the long-term goal of the Group’s sustainability. The ‘Forest Green’ is enriched by an earthy color palette to be used for a variety of touchpoints.
As each farm has its own types of crops due to the location and setup of the farm, the team brings out the character of each farm by customed made a set of playful illustrations as part of the identity.
The company also creates mural wall near each site, where relevant to tell the story of joy of urban farming. An antibacterial antipollution paint called Airlite is used to do the mural wall to promote a green environment.
The identity is applied to collaterals such as apron, signage at the sites, promotion video, website, promotion displays, etc., and environmentally friendly materials are used for the marketing materials.
The team is very proud of using their skills to contribute to the earth through this project.
