Playjam and Hyundai Engineering & Construction have designed a spacious playground, distinguished by its towering jungle gym and expansive slide whose impressive height and size make it a standout feature within the complex.
Named the Big Net Playground, it is built with a symbolic design to maximize the visual effect by having the shape of a big-scale mountain range, and a big slide to stimulate children’s curiosity.
For its formative design, the project has been awarded a 2023 Good Design Award by The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
The entire product is composed of various modularized net play, which will be of great help to develop the body and cooperative spirit of the children.
The designers propose a more active and aggressive playground, simply composed of nets and pipes, but with a huge volume, children enjoy it with more creative, unexpected, and complicated plays.
It provides play functions tailored to children’s body sizes. As it is a highly formative space, it has not only activity but also artistry, which helps children grow and develop.
In addition, the safety regulations are complied with to maximize the safety of users, prevent risk factors in advance, and provide an environment for crime prevention.
Every part that children can reach is made safe from contact with children by using heavy metal-free paint.
It is a space designed for children and adults of various ages, from infants to children and adults, to develop creative thinking and sociality.
