The iSurgical3D Custom Brace is a next-generation brace solution for the treatment of Pectus Carinatum (often known as pigeon chest) in children and adolescents.
Designed by UK-based PDR, the product is a discreet compression-wearable that helps teenagers with expanded rib-cages.
By means of using pre-surgical imaging (3D photography, or CT/MRI), the proprietary computer modeling is able to create a brace that is custom made to suit each patient’s unique needs.
The brace is light and comfortable and is usually easily worn beneath clothing. It is a non-surgical solution and most patients begin to achieve good results quickly.
The brace is comfortable for patients to wear. It can be worn beneath clothing allowing normal life to continue and can be easily taken on/off as needed to allow normal life activities.
It has good results even in very asymmetric cases. Effectively worn, the brace is lower in cost than surgery and has excellent results.
The Brace won a 2020 Good Design Award from The Chicago Athenaeum.
