Le Mont features distinctive architecture developed in collaboration between Studio Arthur Casas and Gómez Platero Architecture & Urbanism, resulting in a sophisticated mixed-use landmark in Puerto del Buceo, Montevideo. Strategically located near the coastal edge within a consolidated urban context, the project blends contemporary design, sustainability, and luxury living, reshaping the area’s identity. The proposal includes a 25-story residential tower with 105 units, divided into two sectors to address diverse market needs. The first nine floors offer compact apartments (50–150 m²), ideal for younger residents and professionals.
From the tenth floor up, spacious residences (260–520 m²) target a high-end market seeking exclusivity, panoramic views, and generous layouts. Each sector has its own lobby and vertical circulation, ensuring privacy, operational efficiency, and an enhanced sense of arrival. A transitional garden between both lobbies creates a welcoming entry and softens the boundary between public and private realms. At ground level, a 5.5-meter-high linear podium includes commercial spaces and public amenities along Pedro Bustamante Street. Its green roof functions as a landscaped promenade that connects the building with its surroundings.
By removing perimeter fencing, the design encourages interaction with the city, enhancing pedestrian activity and urban vibrancy. The tower’s slender profile results from transferring buildable area from the podium upward, optimizing views and reducing visual impact. Its architectural language—defined by verticality, elegance, and transparency—positions Le Mont as a distinctive addition to Montevideo’s skyline.
Sustainability and biophilic design are central to the project. Landscaped terraces and balconies with native vegetation mitigate heat island effects, manage stormwater, and promote biodiversity. These spaces improve microclimate, reduce maintenance, and strengthen connections to nature. Residents enjoy an amenities floor designed for flexibility and contemporary living, including indoor and outdoor pools, gym, saunas, yoga room, playroom, BBQ lounges, coworking areas, solarium, and pet care.
Le Mont includes private parking and EV charging stations, supporting sustainable mobility. The project embodies a forward-thinking vision, balancing investment, responsibility, and urban integration—setting a new standard for luxury living in Uruguay.
