Focus SB®, an international premium electrical accessories brand, has expanded its Ambassador Wall Light range with four new finishes: Chocolate Bronze, Unlacquered Brass, Satin Nickel, and Polished Chrome. Originally launched at Decorex 2023 in three classic metal finishes—Jordan Bronze, Satin, and Antique Brass—the Ambassador Wall Light is a product of an exclusive collaboration with master craftsman Gwyn Carless at The Light Yard. This addition complements Focus SB’s extensive Ambassador Square range, known for its solid brass construction and traditional artisanal techniques.
Designed as bespoke handcrafted bedside lighting, the Ambassador Wall Light benefits from Focus SB’s in-house finishing expertise and its ability to match finishes across complementary specialist hospitality products, including light switches and sockets. Each glass shade is handcrafted using traditional techniques in Gwyn Carless’s Chesterfield studio, featuring long thin rectangular clear, smoked, or reeded glass, and paired with Tubular Gold Flex LED filament dimmable lamps. A Moroccan gold leaf finish is available on enquiry.
The Ambassador Wall Light won the 2024 Lighting category in the SBID International Design Awards, highlighting its elegance and craftsmanship. It is also available in the Ambassador Classic faceplate style, offering designers flexibility within the bespoke product range.
Focus SB also introduced the patent-pending Renaissance faceplate style at Decorex 2023, a screwless flat plate with luxurious solidity and distinctive finish detail. The Renaissance Architrave Keypad Switches, recently shortlisted for the 2025 SBID Awards in the Product of the Year – Residential category, suit high-end luxury interiors including superyachts and heritage buildings. These minimalist wall plates come in five exclusive finishes: Ochre, Roma, Sienna, Umber, and Canvas.
These low-voltage keypads, winner of the [d]arc award, feature programmable momentary action push buttons for lighting and blind control systems. They can be customized with or without LED indicators and offer in-house laser marking for bespoke branding or text. The Renaissance range is manufactured entirely in the UK and includes a recycling program.
