Fabian Baldus of Baldus Medical collaborates with Air Techniques, the leading innovator and manufacturer of dental equipment, and presents together with the Air Techniques Nitrous Oxide/Oxygen Single-use Double Nasal Hood, a product offering benefits from Air Techniques’ established and reliable line of high-quality vacuum systems.
The double hood design minimizes ambient nitrous oxide in the operatory while utilizing an oval exhalation valve that directs exhaled gases to the built-in scavenger “flow channels”, maximizing efficiency.
These hoods focus on a “size matters” approach.
The inner hood seals to the face to ensure proper gas delivery to the patient.
A smaller profile provides improved “sightline” visibility for the dental staff and therefore allows better access to the oral cavity.
The project has been awarded a 2021 Good Design Award by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
The soft inner hood utilizes a unique oval exhalation valve that directs exhaled gases to built-in scavenging “flow channels”.
A clear outer hood sits closer to the patient’s face increasing the scavenging efficiency of exhaled gases and allowing visual monitoring of the patient’s respiration.
The material is latex-free helping protect patients and staff who have latex allergies.
The Air Techniques Double Nasal Hood is scented in blueberry, strawberry, and bubblegum.
