Envisioned by Design Tech for HandlingTech Automations-Systeme, the new SRZ Robot Cell is an integrated solution for fully automated production. With this flexible robot cell, Design Tech has allowed the user the combination of a wide range of processing steps with minimal use of personnel; a universal support for both small and large batch sizes.
Its design has been awarded a 2021 Good Design Award by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
Automated picking, placing and part supplying optimize manufacturing processes and increase productivity.
The modularity and versatility of the ROBAX systems have already satisfied over 300 plant operators.
Workplace quality and order are further enhanced by the fact that in the “New Frame”, as HandlingTech has called it, the cables from inside the unit as well as the operator panel can be stored.
The cable channels in the frame allow cables to come out at any point of the unit, making the fashioning of the interior, i.e. installation of the robot and of any supplementary processes as well as part feeding, extremely flexible.
The newly designed frame makes possible overhead assemblies by the robot.
Thanks to its stable construction the unit can be fastened on the hall floor in such a way that the fastening does not project beyond the casing, eliminating tripping hazards.
The mobile operating panel is stored in the frame, where it blends in with the overall design, but during operation it can be used all around the unit, with the cable safely stored in the casing.
The continuous design of the frame with its powerful curves and large glass panes gives the units a clear, futuristic and unique appearance.
