Huizhou City, Guangdong Province, China
Led by Chen Zetao and Zeng Xianzhi and their design team from FCHA, the new Kindergarten-Sales Center is located beside Longshan 10th Road, Daya Bay Economic and Technological Development Zone, Huizhou City, a 10-minute drive from Huizhou South Railway Station, and within an hour’s life circle in the center of Shenzhen.
The project hopes to create a “5+2” dual-city life parent-child community through a kindergarten-like sales center.
The design concept hopes that the future sales office can become a home that provides people with a better life in the future, can integrate into the community, realize the transformation and continuation of the space function in different periods, and evolve into a public and beautiful community center that grows with the city.
Kindergarten is the first stop of a child’s educational career.
It is a place for children to grow up and explore the world. It is a children’s home for children to learn and understand nature.
The design combines the concept of “home,” which is the most intimate concept for children and integrates with the home for the experience of a better life in the future at the sales office.
The architects have established a child-centered cultural system to form a vibrant internal space, with the kindergarten as the main body, nature and sports themes, open to the community in time, and the sales center is designed to form a kindergarten.
To meet the functional requirements, the functional space is used in combination with the kindergarten.
The building combines the height difference of the site and the cutting of the site by the surrounding roads to form the prototype of “home,” and forms a continuous loop runway around the central courtyard, which runs from the first floor to the third floor, providing sufficient movement.
The activity exhibition hall on the first floor of Tonggao is equipped with a sales center model display, kindergarten teaching concept display, teaching results display, parent reception, garden assembly, report performance, and other multi-functional needs for teachers and students of the whole park, as well as parents and the community.
The theme space is defined as a children’s space for education under the tree.
The design divides the pentagonal geometric modulus and reflects it through a series of simple combinations.
The pentagonal building type is applied to the building facade, interior space conception, and visual communication design, and transformed into brand image promotion.
The parent-child activity area on the second floor is used as a shared space between the sales center and the kindergarten.
